On the afternoon of April 11, School of Information Management of CCNU together with rural revitalization task force in Xuan'en County convened partner assistance promotion meeting in the conference room. This session was aimed at utilizing the subject advantages of the college, exploring special paths of educational rejuvenation as well as industry revival, and accurately assisting the rural revitalization work in Xuanen County. The attendees included Fan Chongqing, First Secretary of the Rural Revitalization Task Force of CCNU in Sanhegou Village, Xuan'en County； Wang Yulu, Secretary of the Faculty Party Committee; Professor Yi Ming, Secretary of the Faculty and Staff Party Branch; Xiao Lixia, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the College.
At the beginning of the meeting, Fan Chongqing, First Secretary of the Village Task Force, introduced the basic situation of Sanhegou Village, which situated in Jiaoyuan Town, Xuan'en County, Enshi Prefecture in detail. The local villagers mainly grow tea as major economic support. The village set up several cooperatives containing plant, pick, process and sell of tea as fundamental industry along with some relevant e-commerce enterprises. In the meanwhile, he delivered key explanation focused on Xuan'en County’s intention that developing the village site into a town with educational characteristics of the whole county.
After listening carefully to Secretary Fan's presentation, Secretary Wang Yulu proposed that they could explore the integration of party building and business to promote assistance work. For instance, combining the discipline features of the college’s E-commerce Major to help local residents learning e-commerce knowledge and training e-commerce skills. This pattern may not only extend local online sales channels and boost the sale income of crops to increase , but also construct a practice base for teachers as well as students and advance their combination of theory with practice.
Professor Yi Ming mentioned the possibility of taking advantage of the college for information acquisition. Through the collection as well as analysis of local compulsory education information and data, related reports will be produced, at the same time, the work force could cooperate with local education bureau, rural revitalization bureau and other organizations to aid local inhabitants to elevate their core literacy of compulsory education, give a hand to them to achieve the “Two Comforts, Three Guarantees” and consolidate the outcomes of poverty alleviation. In response to the lack of library construction in the county, Professor Yi Ming recommended that they can establish and enrich the resources in Xuan'en County depending on the specialty of teachers together with students from Library Information and Archives Management Major.
This work exchange meeting focused on investigating and discussing the School of Information Management of CCNU’s support, such as the precise docking of industrial, educational and consumption assistance in Xuan'en County which would have a great effect on accelerating the link between the achievements in poverty alleviation and rural vitalization.
