(Correspondent Sun Yichen)On the morning of May 1st, the ”Traditional Culture Enters Student Community” activity, part of the series activities for “Chase Dream in the New Chapter of the Era, Celebrate the Great Glory of the Past Century” Chinese traditional culture festival organized by Keming Studio and e-start mental health education work station of School of Information Management, was successfully held in Nanhu student apartment No.10 and No.7 building. Jiang Keming, instructor of School of Information Management, directed as well as participated in this activity. The scene of this event was extremely bustling, which attracted a great deal of students.
This activity was mainly composed of five sections, whose themes covered Chinese traditional music, chess art, calligraphy , painting and so on. Those novel and intriguing forms were highly consistent with students’ interest and hobbies. Groups of students surrounded each site on the scene. The staff patiently explained game rules to the students and actively guided them to join the activity. The atmosphere there was awfully lively.

The aesthetic education knowledge competition activity popularized aesthetic education knowledge to students, which let the concept of beauty education deeply take root among them. Simultaneously, guessing the instruments’ name linked aesthetic education with traditional culture, at the same time, this aesthetic education mode carried forward the traditional instrument culture. The gobang play tested the participants’ thinking and logic capability, in addition, only by beating the staff could students attain the award. The scene was filled with noise and fun, where the students were eager to have a try.

There also set a painting experience station and calligraphy folding fan creation session, where participants could create their own work on the blank surface of fans, either wrote down their wishes or drew lovely patterns, and brought back the DIY fans as souvenirs. The students who held the brushes for calligraphy and painting exerted their creativity on inking the fun surface, which formed another unique landscape.
Besides, participants could accumulated their scores at each station. After they collected a certain number of scores, they might acquire some literary creation gifts with traditional culture elements such as bookmarks and card bags at the area redeeming gifts with scores.

This activity steps deep into the student community, walks into students’ life, and disseminates Chinese traditional culture with interesting interactions while enriching students’ after-school life as well as relieving their academic pressure. In the meanwhile, it strengthens the cultural consciousness and cultural self-confidence of the youth, what’s more, it passes down and spreads the broad and profound Chinese excellent traditional cultural effectively.
