In order to encourage students to read classics, savor the fragrance of books, deepen patriotic education, carry on to cultivate the spirit of Party History Learning and further implement the spirit of the National Education Conference and General Secretary Xi Jinping's important remarks on education and youth work, the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education, together with the School of Computer, launched The preliminary round of "Trace back the Red Past, Appreciate the Intoxicating Classics" knowledge competition on the evening of April 9 in Classroom 7001 of South Lake Building.
The contest was jointly organized by the Academic Research Department of Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education and of the School of Computer. It was open to undergraduate students of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education and of Grade 2020 and Grade 2021 studied in the School of Computer. The contestants were required to answer the questions on site and submit them within the specified time, and then, the organizers would choose the winners from the highest to the lowest according to the scores and the speed. The scope of questions in this competition covered basic knowledge of C language, classical culture, the 19th National Congress of the Party and the two sessions, etc. It could not only examine the professional knowledge of the participants, but also helped to inherit the Red Spirit, promote the national culture and deepen the students' understanding of the history of the Party and the knowledge of two sessions.
At the beginning of the competition, the contestants read the questions carefully, answered them seriously and strictly abided by the discipline of the examination. As time passed, they completed their answers and turned in their papers on time. They were supposed to ensure the quality of their answers while speeding up their rate, showing their proficiency in professional knowledge and profound understanding of the connotation of the Red Spirit.
Tracing back the Red past and inheriting the classic culture, the competition educated and guided students to learn history to understand principles, enhance self-confidence, honor morality and act wisely. It also called on students to learn the history of the Party and follow the Party, keeping the historical mission in mind, shouldering the responsibility of the times, and actively practicing the core values of socialism. To sum up, the activity further stimulated the patriotism of students and showed the political quality and spiritual appearance of the new youth in the new era!
