On the afternoon, of April 6, a team of leadership compromising Wan Jian, Dean of the Undergraduate School, Hu Zhongbo and Zhang Jing, deputy deans, and Zhu Qiang, paid a research visit to our school. They gave instructions at the leadership collective meeting with our school.
The secretary Zhang Xiaoxin extended a warm welcome and appreciation towards the leadership of the school of undergraduate for their support.
The deputy dean, Xie Wei introduced the status quo of undergraduate teaching, including the implementation of the talent training program, grass-roots teaching organization, Ideological and Political Construction, enrollment publicity, practice and internship, innovation and entrepreneurship education and competition, and school-enterprise collaborative education.
After the report, Wan affirmed the achievements in recent years, and set new requirements in professional, course, and teaching mode construction, as well as in the talent training program and internship. Wan expected to further develop the engineering major, abiding by standards from Professional certification in engineering education.
Hu put up with more concrete plans and requirements in the major construction and the talent training program. Zhang fully acknowledged our efforts in innovation and entrepreneurship education and also expected us to contribute more remarkable projects.
In the end, the dean Jiang Xinpeng summarized the meeting by firstly extending appreciation for the undergraduate school’s support. He sent concrete responses to the research program and stated that he would definitely lay stress on the undergraduate talents cultivation so as to trigger further leaps in all respects.
