On March 13, the college of Chemistry held the online competition of “’3.15’ protecting the rights in the mundane”. This event was hosted by the Students’ Association of CCNU, organized by the Ministry of Community Work Rights of Students’ Association of CCNU. Guests comprised Ma Ying, secretary of the Communist Youth League of the college of Chemistry, Wu Shuangxin, deputy secretary of the youth league committee. Hu Yuqi, bureau member of the College of Chemistry, and Zhang Limei, head of Investigation and Monitoring Committee. Zhu Kexin was named as the hostess of this event.

For the beginning part, Zhu led us into taking a brief look at guests and related processes. Next, the presentation of promotion products was officially unveiled. Among all those works, a video called “Carrot Fantasy” told a story about Xiao Hu’s experience. He wanted to buy Shuey Rhon Rhon, the 2022 mascot of the Paralympic Games in Beijing, but only find himself being deceived. That warned us to be alert to the online shopping scam and be aware to use legislation weapons to safeguard legitimate interests. A stunning poster designed by the anti-fraud team was shown to call for deviating from the action of damaging consumer interests before it started. The slogan was resounding-“safe consumption, honest first, law-abiding business”. The No.7 presenter used comic strips to illustrate a story where unscrupulous merchants made pancakes with gutter oil, ultimately being exposed and thus punished. She appealed to consumers that, “it’s our right and obligation to anti-fraud. All the consumers are supposed to be brave!” the team of Dongjiu 605 mixed their contents about anti-fake, protecting consumer rights and interests with some plots in Betty Sun, full of imposing fantasy and creativity. Besides, some took a wide variety of forms, such as gif posters, handwritten posters, to promotion of protecting consumer rights and interests.

Guests would judge each work for each round of six works’ presentations. Ma Ying, extended her appreciation towards all the participants’ active performance. She also said that all works had vigorously creative content and in-depth intrinsic ideas, incredibly better than last year. In the end, Ma Ying pointed out that, “although March 15th is once a year, that should not hamper the frenzy of protecting our rights and interests.”

In the wake of the competition, Tian Youmao, one of the participants, expressed that this event was very meaningful and wished more anticipation in the following years. We sincerely hoped that more students can acquire much more knowledge in how to protect our rights, enhance awareness of protecting rights, know how to protect our rights and interests by legitimate weapons.
