Class of 2020 Evening Meeting |Light the Torch of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Achieve a Better University Dream

At 18:00 on 13 March 2022, our undergraduate students of the Class of 2020 held an evening meeting in Classroom N223 on the theme of "Awareness and Pathways of Innovation and Entrepreneurship". 2020 undergraduate counselor Yue Zhengrong gave a detailed introduction to the recent competition activities.


Before the systematic introduction of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Zhang Yingying, the head of the Communication and Practice Center, introduced the basic information of the 5th Campus Research Competition to the students. Afterward, Tang Qizhen, Head of the Academic and Innovation Center, introduced the basic contents of the "18th Challenge Cup" National Academic and Scientific Works Competition and the "7th Agriculture and Economics Cup" Academic and Scientific Works Competition. They encouraged the students to actively participate in the competition and to exercise and improve their abilities in the process of participation.




To enhance students' understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, strengthen their awareness of participating in such competitions and provide them with ideas and thoughts on innovation and entrepreneurship, in this evening meeting, counselor Yue Zhengrong focused on a series of innovation and entrepreneurship competitions that are closely related to university students. From the categories, time, and content of the competitions, to the specific requirements and precautions of the competitions, he launched a detailed and clear explanation for the students. While introducing, he gave many practical suggestions, such as forming teams across classes and majors to maximize individual capabilities and planning time wisely to facilitate projects in an orderly manner. He encouraged everyone to actively participate in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions to fill their spare time while improving their overall quality and competitiveness.



In the last part of the evening meeting, counselor Yue Zhengrong introduced the recent important events to students from three aspects: epidemic prevention and control, current affairs, and campus safety. He stressed the importance of epidemic prevention and control and reminded students that they should not be lax and must strictly abide by the school's regulations and requirements, obey and cooperate with the school's arrangements, and bear epidemic prevention and control in mind. In terms of current affairs, Mr. Yue mentioned some of the events that have attracted widespread attention, thus reminding students to always be firm in their correct values, be wary of dangerous comments on the Internet, and be careful with their words actions. Finally, he warned students to be careful of online fraud and to raise their awareness to protect their personal property.



The evening meeting covered many aspects, rich in content and clear in level, so that students have a clearer and more definite plan for their future study life, guiding them to adjust their mindset and face the next study and life with a more positive, rational and calm attitude.
