Interview called “fight to live up to our youth——face to face with her” was held in Beiyue bookstore on March 6. Guests in the activity involved Hao Fanghua, the principal, Tian Yuan, a professor from School of psychology, Zhu Manlu, a professor from College of Physical Science and Technology, who talked freely with teachers and students on the spot about fighting and living up to youth, surrounding “memories in youth” “memories in beautiful springtime“ “relay in the era”. Chen Diming, deputy secretary of the Party committee of the University, as well as the school office, Office of Student Affairs of the Party committee (Youth League Committee) and the library director participated in the activity.
“What impressed me most in my youth are two choices, namely, NEMT and employment, which gave me an opportunity to take up talent cultivation and scientific research in normal university,” Hao Fanghua recalled her experience of facing choices in youth and shared her understanding and thoughts, “No matter education or employment, they are both important stages of your life development and will form many turnings and choices for you youth. Regardless of what your choice is, please cherish every opportunity, hold the belief of pursuing excellence, continue to work hard step by step and strive to be the best you can be in every period. Then one day you will find the original choice is the best.”
“When in college, studying our specialized courses well is not enough, we also should read all sorts of books more, broaden our horizon, improve our self-cultivation and regard study as a lifelong proposition, mastering strong skills with the accumulation of “If you can renovate yourself for one day, do so from day to day and make daily renovation continuously,” Besides reading good books, Hao Fanghua also encouraged students to light up the beauty of sports, enjoy pleasure, build themselves up, cultivate healthy personality and temper their willpower when doing sports, “The educational function of sports is very important, whose spirits, involving persistent and dauntless, positive and optimistic, solidarity and cooperation, rule-abiding, will benefit you for lifetime.”
Tian Yuan shared her progress and thoughts of becoming a teacher step by step with teachers and students on the spot, especially referring to her tutor. She said that if “become a teacher” was just a dream in childhood at first, then when she encountered a good teacher when studying, she started to understand deeply and truly that “stand firm on the podium” was a kind of inheritance, no matter teaching and scientific research, or care and love to students.” Tian Yuan took every responsibility seriously, as well as said that it was not easy to do everything well, “When confronting difficulties, don’t consider too much. As long as you can continue, then make great effort to do it. If someone tries extra hard, probably there will be lots of doors open for him.”
In many students’ eyes, Zhu Manlu and her spouse, teacher Dai Xiongfeng are well-matched “academic examples”, whose mutual encouragement and making progress together in scientific research is “the best love”. When it came to how to carry out academic research, Zhu Manlu shared the story that she and teacher Dai Xiongfeng studied overseas. “When studying aboard, our material condition was not satisfying, and I was buried in laboratory every day without distractions. There was no doubt that the progress of science research was boring, but at that time I felt fulfilled, because I thought I was doing what I love, and I have been holding on. I believed that diligence, persistence and devotion will make you go further in scientific research.”
From education to applying to a job, from studying to love, from self-betterment to shouldering responsibility, from vivid stories to warm inspirational message, there was bursts of applause every time.
“Tomorrow is Girls’ Day as you said, while the day after tomorrow is International Working Women’s Day, and today I see you bursting with vitality and full of enthusiasm here, which is just your youth. Here, representing CCNU, I give season’s greetings to all girl students in our school, hoping that at life’s full flowering, you light up beauty of ideology, following CPC wholeheartedly and presenting your ambitions when put new ideas into practice, light up beauty of connotation, working hard and persistently and shaping new image to show your style. May you have healthy bodies and successful academic career, keep youth and beauty forever!” When the activity was about to come to an end, Hao Fanghua offered sincere wishes.
