Recently, the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission of Hubei Province unveiled the annual list of demonstration units of national unity and progress in 2021. A total of 129 regions and units got listed and CCNU was named as the model university in national unity and progress in Hubei Province, the only subordinate university.
For a long time, our university has attached high importance in the work about national unity and progress, stuck on the main path of consolidating the community consciousness, built up the Party leadership arrangement towards ethnic initiatives, established the university-level studio about national unity and progress, comprehensively deepened “Intellectual Leadership Project”, and focused on creating “Ability Improvement Project”, dedicated efforts in “Youth Growth Project”. These, certainly developed a sense of national identity and pride for all the students, guided them to set up the community awareness of “Four sharing”, and continued to organize “Family Review for the Students in Border Areas”, studenthood navigation for ethic students, and “Silk Road·Dream Pursuit” volunteering activities. These, have been reported by national and provincial media many times, among which, the students' teaching deeds have been praised by Er Kenjiang, a member of the CPC Standing Committee in Hubei Province and the United Front Work Department. CCNU has succeeded in holding the cultivation of undergraduate matriculation focus group meetings, leading to high recognition from provincial and ministerial-level Party officials and experts. The education textbooks about national unity, written by our university, were considered as the model education textbooks for all colleges in Hubei Province by the Hubei Provincial Department of Education. ethnic unity education work modes were outreached and advocated by The Ministry of Education as typical experiences.
National unity is the lifeline of the people of all ethnic groups. CCNU will continue to extend and solid the mainline of the Chinese National Community consciousness, unwaveringly pay efforts to carry out the "Three Great Projects for the Cultivation of Students" with great care, affection, and vigor, and further promote the education of national unity and progress in a systematic, strategic, in-depth, caring, multi-dimensional and effective manner, and contribute wisdom and strength to the cause of education and progress of national unity in our country.
