In order to better understand the students' learning background and promote the diversity of summer education for students under the "double reduction" policy, the "chase dream along the Silk Road" social practice and volunteer service team of CCNU visited the families of seven students participating in the summer camp in yatur Township, Baicheng County, Xinjiang on July 5, aiming to understand the students' families through home visits and cooperate with parents to carry out appropriate family education, discover and promote the development of children's personality potential and strengths together. This activity was led by Meiheriguli and Anker, teachers of the practice team, and was divided into two groups. The practice team also sent daily condolences to the visiting families.
In the process of education, we should be full of love and expectation. If we put love in the home visit, we will achieve unexpected results. “ The volunteers of the "chase dream along the Silk Road" practice team carried out the "worry box" mental health course for the children participating in the summer camp in the early stage of the home visit. Through this course, they could deepen their understanding of the students. Volunteers found many distressing "troubles" hidden under the innocent smiling faces of children ——staying home without parents, poverty, families do not pay attention to education, and so on. To further provide accurate volunteer services to the children, the practice team analyzed the children's situation in detail in the early stage, scientifically designed the visit route, made an appointment with the students in advance, carefully prepared the visit content, and made sufficient preparations in the early stage.

During the home visit, the volunteers went deep into the students' families under the scorching sun and high temperature. During the visit to the three children of Kunpeng class, the volunteers introduced their children's performance in the summer camp to their parents, and actively popularized the current enrollment policies for the junior high school entrance examination and the senior high school entrance examination to encourage their children to enter a better university and meet a more beautiful world. This visit also let the team members know the other side of the children outside the school. Some children's families were relatively poor and had many families, so learning had become a pastime after housework. Other children lived with their grandparents all year round, and it had become their greatest wish to reunite with their working parents These contrasts with the innocent smiling faces of children also made everyone more moved. Looking at the simple and lovely children, the volunteers of Kunpeng class have expressed that as a student of CCNU, through this practice activity, they had become more determined to be a people's teacher, become a good teacher and friend of students, and become a beacon on the way forward for students.

The four members of Boya class went to the two students' families for home visits to understand the students' family life and difficulties and bring care and warmth. Volunteers carefully conveyed the performance of children in the summer camp to parents and communicated with parents about the development and growth of students' personality, so that parents could rest assured and paid better attention to students' learning and development. Finally, the volunteers explained to parents the importance of encouraging and supporting their children's learning, to help students grow up better. The sincere feedback shown by the parents made the team members feel the simplicity and enthusiasm of their parents. The communication between the team leader and parents also better enabled the volunteers to understand that not only in knowledge learning, but also pay more attention to the children's psychology and temperament in subtle points, so that the children could grow up and learn healthily and happily!

The dream chasing class paid a home visit to two students. During the home visit, the volunteers felt a lot of things. The volunteers in the summer camp learned that one of the home visiting students, Munire, had a dream of becoming a doctor. This was because Munire's mother had a waist injury and she was a very sensible daughter at home who always helped her mother with housework and took care of her little brother. Munige, who is so considerate, also had excellent academic performance in school. "Moss flowers are as small as rice, but they also learn to bloom like peonies", volunteer Bi Yanxiao said that as a child of the same rural origin, she hoped that Munige could study hard and have a look in the outside world to make greater achievements.
"We want every child could study hard and have a better life," said Meihe riguli, the leader teacher, in a home visit. This was also the common feeling of every teacher facing students. This home visit not only connected the home and school together and made the practice team go deeper into the students' families, but also sent the care and care of volunteers from Huada to every student's family, strengthening the connection between home and school. At the same time, this visit was also a valuable and rare practical experience for all volunteers. They feel that there is still a long way to go in the cause of education in the motherland, which further strengthens the original intention of all Chinese university students to "learn from high as a teacher and be a model".
According to statistics, as of July 5, the " chase dream along the Silk Road " social practice activity of CCNU had been open for more than a week, with a total of 84 lectures, serving 103 students in Baicheng County, Xinjiang, and a total teaching time of more than 3780 minutes.
