The Voice of CCNU On the afternoon of April 26, 2022, the Student Political Work Cadre Training Conference was held in the Lecture Hall on the first floor of the Science Hall. The training meeting was chaired by Li Xianling, Deputy Director of the Ideological and Political department of the Party Committee in School, and attended by the deputy secretary of the sub-training unit.
Guests were Zhou Lailai, the third-level investigator from the Comprehensive Division of the Internet Information Office of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee and alumnus of a class of 1998 from the School of History and Culture, and Li Huazhong, the secretary deputy of the personnel department and teachers’ work of Party Committee, and researcher. They gave reports in terms of two documents—improving the ability in using the internet to cope with online public opinion and a detailed explanation of teachers’ morality.
Li studied in depth the spirit of a series of important speeches and requests by president Xi, thereby interpreting the vital documents of constructing teachers’ morality issued by the CPC Central Committee, the State Council, and the education ministry. By recounting the cases, he laid emphasis on the importance of accelerating the morality construction and called for student cadres to self-discipline and advance to a shining example for the juniors.
Zhou emphasized the urgent importance of cultivating internet thinking patterns for student cadres to grapple with online public opinions by retelling a wave of cases and analyses. In-depth exchanges between Zhou and the audience cultivated these skills successfully.
When the meeting was at an end, Xun Shitai, the secretary deputy of the employment service, and Li Diao, Director of the ideological and political department, placed arrangements for the students’ work. Li emphasized that, the assessment of the students’ work and the counselors’ work. He hoped that all the students could inspect themselves at this point and promote their performance, then arranged those key points such as epidemic prevention and control, mental health, and education during graduation season.
Xun introduced the overall situation of hunting for jobs. Compared with our sibling universities, the employment conditions were still very serious, the student cadres should play an active role in pioneering finding jobs and expanding into better resources to serve for graduates and work together to improve the employment quality.
