The Employment Promotion Meeting Held for Graduates of Class of 2022 of the College of Economics& Business Management Went on Wheels

(Correspondent: Liu Yixin& Guo Xue) At 14:30 on April 20, 2022, the College of Economics& Business Management convened the Employment Promotion Meeting held for graduates of class of 2022 at room 10060, which located in complex building of south lake campus. The meeting mainly focused on reporting and communicating the employment situation of undergraduates and postgraduates of class of 2022 and push forward the employment status. The deputy director of CCNU College Student Recruitment and Employment Office, Qin Shitai, the secretary of the Party Committee of College of Economics& Business Management, Nie Yaohua, the dean of the college, Tu Zhengge, the leading commissary in charge of organization, Yan Lili, the vice-president, Zhou Weidi, the heads and branch secretaries of all the departments, the representatives of the research supervisor and the instructors as well as the head teachers of of the undergraduates of class of 2018 attended the meeting. The deputy secretary of school Communist Party of China, Chen Juan, hosted the meeting.



At the beginning of the meeting, Chen Juan, the deputy secretary of school Communist Party of China, conveyed the spirit of the third scheduling video conference on graduation employment of ordinary college students of class of 2022, which was held by Ministry of Education. She started with the multiple problems that the graduates of class of 2022 met, raised various solutions and emphasized on implementing the spirit of the meeting, which included exploiting potentialities to innovate and expand posts, making concerted effort to optimize service, giving a hand accurately to help those most in need.


After that, the deputy secretary of school Communist Party of China, Chen Juan introduced the current employment situation of students of College of Economics& Business Management and read out Measures of the College of Economics& Business Management on Strengthening the Employment of Graduates of 2022(Draft for Comments) and The Faculty and Alumni of the College of Economics& Business Management Will Be Rewarded for Helping Graduates Find Jobs. She acknowledged the teachers strong support for undergraduate employment in earlier times, raised suggestions on promoting the employment of graduates from enhance understanding to form joint forces of employment work, strengthen cooperation to provide practical employment guidance and assistance, intensify responsibility to expand employment information channels, strengthen security to ensure work effectiveness. Moreover, she said that the entire personnel of the college should participate, promote and implement the work together to improve the quality of employment for the class of 2022 practically.



In the second session, the leading commissary in charge of organization, Yan Lili, introduced the current employment situation of the postgraduates. She said under the economic background of the epidemic situation in 2022 and the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war, it was necessary to concentrate on two early stages and two promotions, which were plan student career early, learn and practise early, promote the students to optimize themselves and learn more to facilitate the employment work of graduate students. Additionally, she emphasized that the college should pay attention to the understanding of graduate students professional development prospects and practice, build a targeted college employment training platform and encourage students to look up to the excellent ones.



Then, representatives of class 2018 undergraduate head teachers and postgraduate tutors reported the situation of the work which aimed at promoting the employment of graduates in turn, and the heads and branch secretaries of the college made speeches on promoting the employment work. Yu Xing, the head teacher of 2018 undergraduate students in the Department of Finance, suggested that some graduates were hesitant between taking the postgraduate entrance examination again and finding a job, so the head teachers should help them timely sort out and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of taking postgraduate entrance examination again and clarify their goals. Starting from the interview questions of the graduates, Professor Fang Zhongxiu of the Department of Business Administration emphasized the importance of targeted guidance, for example, experience shared by the outstanding graduates, resume writing training, interview skills training and so on. Professor Fang Zhongxiu also mentioned that graduates should learn to link the research of graduation thesis with employment and combine the advantages of professional learning fields with employment actively to create employment advantages. Subsequently, other teachers also put forward suggestions combining with their practical experience for graduates employment guidance work and expressed their ideas about promoting the employment work.



The deputy dean, Zhou Weidi said that under the influence of the economic recession, the employment of graduates was a challenge. All the teachers devoted themselves to solving the problem silently. The teachers inculcated the students and the students were honest to their teachers. As long as they communicated with each other they can face the employment problem together.



Chen Shuyun, vice president of the college, said that they should reflect on the problems in the process of talent training through the employment difficulties. The internship and practice part should be brought forward and they should lead students to go out more often to broaden their professional horizon, eliminate students misunderstandings about employment of their professions and increase students practice experience and professional confidence.

 


Tu Zhengge, the dean, summed up the problems of teaching and practice in the college, saying that the purpose of teaching in the college was to spread the truth, impart knowledge and solve puzzles. Teachers in the college should seize every opportunity to reform teaching methods and do a good job in education and guidance.



In the sixth session of the meeting, Qin Shitai, deputy director of the CCNU College Student Recruitment and Employment Office, made a speech. He thanked the College of Economics& Business Management for its support for employment work and put forward suggestions from the aspects of strengthening guidance to graduates, policy publicity and caring for students. He said, while the teachers were ensuring the quality of teaching, they should take care of the students psychological health, discover their psychological problems timely and offer help to them. In addition, he mentioned that in promoting employment work, the college should let the head teachers, tutors, alumni and parents play their soles well to strive for more social resources for students and provide more opportunities for internship and employment.



At the end of the meeting, Nie Yaohua, the secretary of the Party Committee of the college, made a concluding speech. He summed up four key words from the meeting, which were responsibility, effects, measures and understandings. He said that to promote the employment of graduates, they should strengthen the implementation of responsibilities, seek practical actions, put hard actions into effect and show real actions.



So far, the 2022 graduate employment promotion meeting held by College of Economics& Business Management came to an end successfully. This meeting not only reflected the importance that the College of Economics& Business Management attached to the employment of graduates, but also showed the deep friendship between teachers and students of the college. It is believed that with the responsibility and dedication of all teachers in the college, the employment of 2022 graduates will make a breakthrough.
