School Dynamics|Upholding Integrity and Innovating to Cultivate Talent, Dedicated to the Mission: School of Mathematics and Statistics Held 2024 Counselors’ Work Reporting and Exchange Meeting

To further strengthen the development of the counselors’ team, comprehensively summarize the performance and educational achievements of counselors in 2024, and enhance the quality and efficiency of student services, the School of Mathematics and Statistics successfully held the 2024 Counselors’ Work Reporting and Exchange Meeting on the morning of May 9. The event took place in Room 315, Building 2 of the International Exchange Teaching Building. Zhou Yan and Yang Kejun, Deputy Party Secretaries of the School, along with all full-time and part-time counselors, attended the meeting. Zhou Yan presided over the session.


During the meeting, all counselors presented their annual work reports for 2024, combining data analysis and case studies. Their presentations covered various aspects, including ideological and theoretical education, value guidance, Party and league construction, class management, academic atmosphere building, daily student affairs, mental health counseling, online ideological and political education, campus crisis response, career planning and employment guidance, as well as theoretical and practical research.



In their concluding remarks, Zhou Yan and Yang Kejun expressed gratitude for the counselors’ hard work and emphasized the need to adapt to the new demands of ideological and political education in the new era. To better fulfill their core responsibilities, they outlined three key tasks for the counseling team:rooted in moral education, deepen theoretical grounding and integrate ideological and political work with the unique characteristics of mathematics; develop professional profiles: showcase educational achievements through distinctive initiatives and foster collaborative efforts in holistic education; data-Driven management, empower student services with a data-oriented mindset, implementing the principle of "education with warmth" to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
