The Voice of CCNU On the afternoon of April 18th, the music therapy group session titled "Harmonizing Hearts, Healing Through Sound" took place in Classroom 9551 of Building 9. Organized by Ma Qinghua, psychological committee member for the Class of 2024 undergraduates from the School of Physical Science and Technology, the event attracted 15 participants from across campus. Through immersive music experiences and creative interactions, the session provided students with a platform to release stress and nurture mental well-being.

The event commenced with "Sound Initial Experience," where participants listened to curated music clips with closed eyes. From ethereal natural melodies to upbeat pop rhythms, diverse musical notes served as keys to unlock emotional gateways. Students documented their genuine feelings on sticky notes using descriptors like "liberated," "relaxed," and "joyful." The collision between musical resonance and textual expression energized the atmosphere.

Under dimmed lights, natural soundscapes blended with Alpha wave music to create a therapeutic environment. Guided by mindfulness instructions, participants engaged in 10-minute mindful breathing for self-exploration. Creative expressions emerged through artwork - watercolors depicting "a piano floating on clouds" and line drawings illustrating "a starlit forest." Students actively shared their creations, with one participant remarking, "This is my first time expressing inner feelings through non-verbal art – it feels like pent-up emotions are finally flowing." Several students became "emotional landscape interpreters," exchanging stories behind their artworks to amplify healing energy through dialogue.

As the nostalgic melodic strains permeated the pedagogical sanctum, an organic metamorphosis occurred wherein all assembled participants transmuted into symphonic collaborators, their vocal timbres coalescing in harmonic convergence through a meticulously curated repertoire of therapeutic ballads - an auditory panacea that instantaneously dissolved interpersonal barriers while orchestrating profound emotional symbiosis amidst the euphonic vibrations. The edifice became an acoustical crucible resonating with exuberant harmonies and effervescent mirthful interjections, wherein accumulated psychological encumbrances and existential disquietudes imperceptibly dematerialized, sublimated into the ethereal cadence of this collective cathartic experience.

The emotional climax arrived during the "Song Dedication" finale. Participants solemnly wrote down personally meaningful song titles on cards before random exchanges. Though merely containing song names, these musical tokens became emotional sparks when participants shared the stories behind their chosen tracks. Like kindled stars, these melody-laden narratives illuminated heartfelt connections.

Organizer Ma Qinghua reflected: "This music therapy session created a multi-sensory 'safe island' for emotional expression. We will continue exploring artistic healing modalities to make psychological knowledge more accessible through warm, engaging approaches." The event has been designated as a key project in the School's Mental Health Month initiative, with subsequent art therapy and drama therapy sessions planned for implementation.
