The Voice of CCNU On the morning of March 4th, the first "Truth-Seeking Ideological and Political Lecture" of 2025, hosted by the Office of Student Affairs and organized by the Institute of China Rural Studies, was held in the lecture hall on the first floor of the Science Auditorium. Li Diao, Director of the Ideological and Political Education Office of the Office of Student Affairs, along with Deputy Directors Wu Jiancheng, Li Xianling, and Bao Xinlong, attended the event. Deputy Party Secretaries from various training units and all full-time and part-time counselors participated in the learning session. The event was presided over by Li Diao and featured a special report by Zhang Haiyu, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Microelectronics (School of Integrated Circuits) at Nanjing University of Science and Technology, who is also renowned as one of the "Most Beautiful Counselors" and "Counselor of the Year" in Chinese universities.

In his opening remarks, Li Diao introduced that the "Truth-Seeking Ideological and Political Lecture" is another innovative addition to the "Truth-Seeking" series of ideological and political education initiatives. This follows the establishment of the "Truth-Seeking" Counselor Development Studio, the hosting of the "Truth-Seeking" Counselor Salon, the organization of the "Truth-Seeking" Academic Summer Camp, and the national "Truth-Seeking Forum" for counselor development. This year, the series will also include activities such as the "Truth-Seeking" Counselor Reading Club, aiming to create a high-level training and development platform for all political and ideological education staff.

Zhang Haiyu delivered a speech titled The Mission and Responsibility of Student Educators, in which she vividly shared her personal growth story and offered in-depth insights into her "six-point" work methodology. This included "enhancing political awareness, being responsible to the Party, the cause, and the times," "ensuring effective implementation of work by understanding its mechanisms," "leading by example to motivate others," "grasping the logic behind written communication," and "reporting with a sense of perspective and a broader vision." She also shared her "three-point" educational philosophy: making education vibrant, emotionally resonant, and meaningful. Her presentation highlighted the mission and responsibility of student educators, showcasing her exceptional educational wisdom and experience in nurturing students. It provided valuable references and practical guidance for the growth and development of counselors and the high-quality advancement of ideological and political education at CCNU.

During the Q&A session, Zhang Haiyu engaged with counselors on topics such as "accurately identifying student characteristics" and "strategies for crisis intervention," sharing insights and offering advice through real-life case analyses and personal reflections on her work.

In his concluding remarks, Li Diao emphasized that all counselors should earnestly study Secretary Zhang Haiyu's work philosophy and methods, strengthen their sense of mission, enhance their political awareness, and grasp the logic of their work to strive for meticulous and in-depth efforts. He encouraged all political and ideological education staff to move forward with a more spirited attitude and contribute to writing a new chapter in the development of CCNU in the new era. Finally, Li Diao made relevant arrangements for the recent safety and stability work at the university.
