To carry out in-depth education on the theme of learning and implementing Xi Jinping's thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, we educate and guide students to deeply comprehend General Secretary Xi Jinping's deep care and earnest wishes for young students. Recently, the School of Mathematics and Statistics (hereinafter referred to as "School of Mathematics and Statistics") held a reading and sharing session on "General Secretary Xi Jinping and College Students Together" through Tencent Conference Online. The sharing session was hosted by Bo Xiaoxuan, a 2022 undergraduate student, and participated by 2022 undergraduate counselors Long Xingyu and Shen Plastic Ye, as well as 2022 Party activists online.
In the sharing session, a total of five students, including Zhang Xinru and He Chen, shared their experience of reading the book Xi Jinping and Friends of College Students with the participating teachers and students, taking into account their summer practice and personal growth experiences.
Xiao Yue took General Secretary Xi Jinping's encouragement and guidance to young people as the starting point, quoted the actual record of General Secretary Xi Jinping's exchanges with college students in the book, and shared her personal experience with the students. Gao Yuxuan, a publicly-funded teacher training student, said in his sharing that as a university student in the new era, he should develop excellent skills and cultivate his moral integrity, and as a future people's teacher, he should improve his teaching skills and cultivate his feelings as a teacher, and strive to become a "four-haves" good teacher to the satisfaction of the Party and the people. Zhang Xinru, He Chen, and Bo Xiaoxuan took General Secretary Xi Jinping's earnest wishes for young students in the book as the starting point, and combined with their summer social practice experiences, shared their further understanding and thoughts about General Secretary Xi Jinping's message to young people in the "walking classroom".
In his conclusion, Mr. Shen expressed his hope that students would combine their life direction and growth experience with their reading to learn and comprehend the core meaning of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches, and to draw political nutrition; at the same time, he reminded students to focus on "linking theory with practice", to realize the greatness of thought and strengthen their responsibility in real learning and listening. The book-sharing meeting is a great opportunity for the young students to carry out the study and sharing program.
This reading and sharing meeting is a stage of communication for young students to carry out personal self-study, and also a good platform for peer learning. The School of Mathematics and Statistics will continue to guide young students to read the original text, study the original text, realize the principle, draw the power of progress from it, strengthen the theoretical armament, and strive to grow up to be a new man of the times who is capable of taking on the great responsibility of national rejuvenation.

Through participating in this reading and sharing session, I truly felt that General Secretary Xi Jinping has always attached great importance to young people, especially college students, and has repeatedly encouraged us to "learn the art of literature and martial arts without any distraction and serve the motherland and the people as well as the Chinese nation". As young college students in the new era, we should not forget the General Secretary's earnest advice, remember the party's teachings, be firm believers in socialist core values, be active disseminators, and exemplary practitioners, and actively learn from heroes, learn from predecessors, learn from role models, and move forward boldly and resolutely in realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in the era of the torrent.

What impressed me most about this book-sharing session was General Secretary Xi Jinping's high hope for young students to lead the progress of society, and his expectation for university students to "integrate their small selves into the big selves of the motherland and the people". In this book-sharing meeting, five students shared their thoughts on reading Xi Jinping and Friends of College Students, and after listening to them, I had a lot more feelings on top of my original realization. In the book, General Secretary Xi Jinping has twice told university students to "follow nature", which is an important guideline for my growth, telling me to actively engage in practice and take root in the grassroots, and at the same time, to find the right way to follow the way of nature.
